Con l’aggiornamento a iOS 18.2 (qui i dettagli dell’update), l’utente potrà riprodurre idee strumentali originali medainte l’altoparlante dell’iPhone e contemporaneamente registrare le voci utilizzando i microfoni di iPhone 16 Pro e iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Memo Vocali crea due tracce distinte permettendo all’utente di lavorare ulteriormente al mixaggio e alla produzione in app come Logic Pro. Con l’app companion Memo Vocali su Mac (Apple ha rilasciato l’aggiornamento a macOS Sequoia 15.2) le registrazioni sovrapposte vengono sincronizzate tra i vari dispositivi, sono disponibili su Mac e possono essere aggiunte a una sessione di Logic con il drag and drop.

Apple spiega che Con Memo Vocali è possibile incorporare una varietà di strumenti di sottofondo, per esempio una chitarra acustica o un pianoforte, come primo livello. In Logic Pro, chi scrive e produce musica può anche inviare un mix strumentale direttamente a Memo Vocali come file audio compresso, in modo da poter poi registrare un livello vocale da sovrapporre alla traccia, in qualsiasi momento e ovunque scatti l’ispirazione.

Apple ha diffuso un video per pubblicizzare la novità spiegando che personalità vincitrici di un GRAMMY Award (Michael Bublé, la star del country Carly Pearce e il produttore discografico Greg Wells) hanno fatto squadra per dare vita al loro nuovo brano “Maybe This Christmas” con Memo Vocali su iPhone 16 Pro.
